“What Did I Even Do To You?” — Popular Actress Confesses She Cried From Reading Hate Comments
During episode twenty-four of My Alcohol Diary (also known as No Prepare), rapper Lee Young Ji revealed how she typically reacts when receiving hate comments—which was much different from the popular actress who appeared as a guest on the show.
Rather than let malicious comments ruin her mood, Lee Young Ji did the opposite. She said, “When someone offends me, I try my best to think, ‘So What?’” That’s what actress Park Bo Young initially tried to do too.
The famous actress behind hit K-Dramas Oh My Ghost, Strong Girl Bong Soon, and Doom at Your Service tried to brush off the hate comments. Park Bo Young said, “I pretend that I’m strong, ‘Okay, you could think like that.’” However, it didn’t work out so well.
Park Bo Young imitated how she’d break down and cry. She shared her thoughts while crying at the time, “Then I come back home, ‘What did I even do to you?’”
Park Bo Young remembered receiving the most hate comments at the peak of her fame. Sadly, the negative comments affected her so deeply that she couldn’t allow herself to trust anyone’s words.
My career was busy when people could put comments on a portal. This sounds really old.
Someone who I don’t know offending me, I saw it so much. I experienced so many things. That made me not trust anybody.
— Park Bo Young
Since that portal stopped allowing comments three years ago, Park Bo Young and other celebrities can finally have a bit of relief from those malicious comments.
See Park Bo Young reflect on how her younger self reacted when seeing all the negative comments about herself.
