SEVENTEEN’s Joshua Bought A House For His Mother For This Touching Reason

He grew up in a single parent household.

SEVENTEEN’s Joshua and Hosni recently starred on Yoo Jae Suk’s YouTube show, Pinggyeyo (Just An Excuse). On the show, Joshua humbly agreed to share his recent flex for his mother.

Ever the down-to-earth man, Joshua himself did not bring up the topic of what he gifted his parents. Instead, another guest who knew of his kind act, asked if he could share what Joshua did on the show.

Ji Suk Jin praised Joshua for his filial spirit, and shared that Joshua had bought a house for his mother in Korea. Joshua, who hails from the United States, wanted to let his mother lead a comfortable life in Korea. His mother originally lived in the U.S. She brought up Joshua by herself, working seven days a week!

Due to her hard work, Joshua was able to lead a carefree childhood. In return, the young Joshua vowed to save money to buy his mom whatever she wanted!

Many years later, he saw success as an idol and bought her something most people his age are still not able to — a house!
