BTS’s Suga Admits To Jungkook The “Hardest Part” About Touring Solo
BTS‘s Jungkook joined Suga on the latest episode of his variety program, Suchwita, during which the two BTS members caught up and discussed their solo promotions.
Suga became the first BTS member to embark on a solo concert tour, and while Jungkook discussed his recent solo debut with Suga, he also brought up the possibility of doing a solo concert himself.
Suga reminded the BTS maknae that he had once said in an interview that his goal was to be good enough to perform “three to four hours” on his own.
Jungkook remembered the interview and confirmed he was “curious about [his] abilities” since he had only ever performed a full concert as a group.
Suga offered to teach Jungkook everything he needed to know about successfully completing a solo tour.
While discussing his SUGA | Agust D “D-DAY” Tour, Suga surprisingly revealed he caught a cold in the middle of his tour and got so sick he thought he would collapse on stage.
Suga admitted that when he went home after his concerts overseas, he could do nothing but sleep. He was staying with his parents at the time, and they cautioned him to stay in his room so he wouldn’t get anyone else sick.
Knowing that ARMYs had patiently waited to see him in concert, Suga tested negative for COVID-19 and decided to move forward with his shows. Despite a rising fever and losing his voice, Suga went on stage and put on an unforgettable performance.
Suga shared that being sick on tour was “the hardest part when touring alone.”
You don’t have anyone you can lean on. No one’s there to take your place. You can’t run from it [Everything is on you]. You just have to go up on stage…

Suga persevered and put on incredible performances for fans. The talented BTS member will have three encore shows in Seoul on August 4-6 for ARMYs to look forward to!
