A “midlife crisis” is “a period of emotional turmoil in middle age, around 40 to 60 years old, characterized by a strong desire for change.

A quarter-life crisis happens earlier, often in one’s late 20s or 30s, when adults often question their direction in life or the quality of their lives. While it often is paired with troubled feelings or experiences, a “quarter-life crisis” has had the opposite effect on Lisa.

Lisa shared that in recent years, she’s committed herself to trying new things and living her best life after contemplating the things she can only do “at certain ages.

I often think about things you can do only at certain ages and things I never get to do as I get older. So, whenever I have something that I want to try and say, I always do it. No matter what it is, I tell myself, ‘I should definitely give it a try,’ instead of giving up. I have finally become more honest with myself.

The talented BLACKPINK maknae has decided to prioritize her happiness in life, and as long as it doesn’t harm others, she’s promised herself to go after everything she wants.

These days, I think about my own happiness more than anyone else’s. So, I stay true to my happiness as long as it doesn’t harm others.

She attributes this confidence to her “quarter-life crisis” while humbly stating that she wants to live for herself.

I really want to live for myself. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s a puberty thing. I guess I am in my quarter life crisis (laughs).
