Fans Voice Frustration With JYP Entertainment After ITZY Confirms They Want Individual Instagram Accounts

“Do something for your idols for once, please.”

During the episode, Jonathan reported that he had a message he wanted to convey on behalf of MIDZYs (ITZY fans).

Jonathan announced that there was something fans were hoping to see from the five talented members: individual Instagram accounts. He read a fan’s tweet that added the condition, “Only if JYP agrees.”

After re-iterating that it was what ITZY’s own fan wrote, Jonathan asked if it was something the members actually wanted to do.

The three members agreed they did want to open individual Instagram accounts and give MIDZYs what they want, but it was a decision that was out of their control.

Jonathan joked that J.Y. Park, founder and current Chief Creative Officer of JYP Entertainment, wouldn’t allow them to create individual Instagram accounts for the next ten years after they playfully mimicked J.Y. Park’s dance cover of NewJeans‘ “Hype Boy.”

Jonathan asked the members which they would prefer, being able to open individual Instagram accounts or a music show win for their new single, “Cake.”

After a brief hesitation, the members announced they would prefer a music show win, hoping to win a first-place trophy for the new song.

With the decision to open individual Instagram accounts out of their control, MIDZYs are calling on JYP Entertainment to allow the members to do so.

Many expressed frustration that the artists weren’t able to, despite not being a rookie group and it being something the members and their fans want.

Fans are hoping that the company will allow the idols to open their individual Instagram accounts soon.
