Veteran Actor “Exposes” Lim Ji Yeon’s On-set Habit During Press Conference
After two back-to-back acclaimed performances in The Glory and Lies Hidden in My Garden, Lim Ji Yeon is set to make her small screen comeback with SBS‘s The Killing Vote. One of her co-stars from the show recently revealed a shocking fact about the actress’s on-set habit that not many knew before.
On August 10, she appeared at a press conference with the show’s main cast, including actors Park Hae Jin, Park Sung Woong, Lim Ji Yeon, and director Park Shin Woo. The artists talked about the production process of the drama, while sharing some fun behind stories.
Talking about the casting process, director Park said that Lim Ji Yeon was his “one pick” for the project. He was determined to cast her three years ago, even before she became the most-hated weather forecaster Park Yeon Jin in The Glory!
When veteran actor Park Sung Woong was asked about his experience working with Lim, he couldn’t praise her enough for her work ethic. He revealed that Lim Ji Yeon’s character Joo Hyeon is related to the cyber investigation team and hence, had a lot of lines. For many of the scenes, actors needed detailed explanations for their dialogues, but she made no mistakes.
But what’s even more impressive is that the actress didn’t even have to bring her script on set, because she memorized all her lines so well! While everyone in the room was marveling at Lim’s genius memory, Park joked that though she didn’t bring her own script, sometimes she would borrow the script from other actors. The actress admitted shyly amidst laughter that there are times when she gets confused.
Meanwhile, The Killing Vote tells the story of a mysterious figure known as Gaetal, who conducts surveys via text message to decide whether to put certain vicious criminals to death, then murders them based on the results. Episodes 1 and 2 of the show aired consecutively on August 10.
