Jisoo made a stunning solo debut earlier this year with “Flower.” This debut single, which has clinched an impressive 9 music show wins, has painted the airwaves with its eclectic blend of traditional Korean melodies, Caribbean elements, and a splash of modern pop and trap music.
Winning 3 times on both Inkigayo and Show Champion, and once each on M Countdown, Music Bank, and Music Core, Jisoo has undoubtedly proven her mettle as a solo artist.
“Flower” dives deep into the theme of overcoming toxic relationships, crafted masterfully by Vince, TEDDY, Kush, and VVN in the lyrics. Its production, a sophisticated amalgamation of mid-tempo beats and traditional melodies, was hailed by critics.

Behind the allure of “SEVEN” is the genius of Andrew Watt, Cirkut, Jon Bellion, Latto, and Theron Makiel Thomas in the songwriting. Besides its romantic allure, the song also boasts of an explicit version.
Not only did the track make waves in the U.S., but it also broke records in the UK, debuting at number three and becoming the highest debut by a Korean solo act.
2023 has been a monumental year for both BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and BTS’s Jungkook.
