In their letter, the group’s members stated that they were disappointed by the misunderstandings and misinformation reported in the media.

We also know that many of you are confused by the current media and press coverage. Misunderstands and accusations have been snowballing. We were deeply shocked by this and have been going through a tough time.

Nevertheless, we believe there is a truth that needs to be uncovered despite these difficulties. And we have strong faith that our fans will understand us and support us even more when it is clarified.

The group maintained their stance that they would like to terminate their contract with ATTRAKT and its CEO Jeon Hong Joon, writing that they merely wished to promote in an environment they could trust.

However, we first wanted to take this opportunity to right the wrongs that have been forced in our relationship with the agency. And to protect our music, we had no other choice.

So, after a lot of consideration, our members have decided to face this path. We will continue to move forward by making careful decisions to overcome the current confusion and difficulties.”.”

Korean netizens reacted to the letter with skepticism. Many criticized the group for claiming there have been misunderstandings and misinformation but did not specify what they were. Netizens also criticized the letter for not offering any factual evidence, compared to CEO Jeon Hong Joon, who has provided alleged text messages and phone conversations exposing The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il of scheming and falsifying his background, career and academic accomplishments.

  • “Their letter doesn’t tell us anything.”
  • “If you feel there are misunderstandings, explain them.”
  • “I’m not sure what they mean by ‘Pressuring them using bad tactics.’ Considering everything that has come out, what were they pressured to do?”
  • “Who in the world is pulling the strings here? Is it that scammer?”
  • “What is the misunderstanding? ATTRAKT has tons of recorded evidence, but the members aren’t saying anything besides claiming there is a misunderstanding.”
  • “Seriously, what are they saying? If you want to fix any misunderstanding, you should meet your label. Why aren’t you meeting the label?”
  • “But they would need fans for anyone to believe them? LOL… Who will believe them now?”
  • “You guys are simply canceled.”
  • “What is the misunderstanding? They keep claiming they will reveal the truth, but they haven’t offered anything considering the fuss they are making.”

The letter also comes just one day before the release of Unanswered Questions‘ documentary into FIFTY FIFTY’s legal dispute with ATTRAKT. Unanswered Questions is an investigative series renowned for getting to the bottom of some of Korea’s most explosive secrets.
