BTS’s V Claims He Wanted To Fly Home While Filming “Jinny’s Kitchen” But Didn’t Have His Passport
Recently, BTS‘s V shared what it was like filming tvN‘s reality show Jinny’s Kitchen with cameras rolling at all times—even while sleeping.
In the 210th episode of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, which aired on September 6, the special theme was “Shaking the World.” Therefore, the episode featured guests with impressive backgrounds, such as a crime prediction alert site developer and a climbing gold medalist.
V was also a guest, and he engaged in relay talk with the hosts Yoo Jae Suk and Jo Se Ho.
Yoo Jae Suk asked V about what it was like being on Jinny’s Kitchen, mentioning how the “boss,” Lee Seo Jin, had evaluated “intern” V as diligent but slow. V replied, “I did my best to be as fast as possible.” He also praised Lee Seo Jin and his young spirit.
He’s very honest and extremely funny. I’ve never met anyone like him before. He has the heart of someone in their 20s.

V also explained that the filming schedule and process for variety shows were much different than he thought.
To be honest, I thought you would be able to rest here and there while filming variety shows. But it wasn’t like that. The cameras rolled even when sleeping.

V also mentioned how the only time cameras stopped rolling was when he was on an airplane. Then, his comment on how the producer Na Yeong Seok (also known as Na PD) had V’s passport during filming gained attention.
The only time they cut the cameras was when I was on an airplane. I wanted to go back to Korea, but my passport was with Na PD.
— V
Although the filming process was packed and the cameras constantly rolling may have been difficult, V did his best on the show.
Jinny’s Kitchen is a reality cooking show that follows the cast as they introduce Korean street food in a small town in Mexico. It stars Park Seo Joon, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Choi Woo Sik, and V.
