YouTuber With Multiple Controversies Faces More Backlash For Allegedly Driving Without A License
YouTuber and former South Korean Navy SEAL Ken Rhee (also known as Lee Geun) is accused of driving without a license.
Last year, Ken Rhee gained international attention when he volunteered to fight in Ukraine after the Russian invasion in February. Fighters worldwide were called to help Ukraine during the invasion, but South Korean citizens were warned not to take arms in another country. Therefore, when Ken Rhee returned to Korea three months later, he was given a suspended prison sentence for breaking Korea’s travel ban to Ukraine.
Ken Rhee continued to make headlines with controversies after the incident. Earlier this year, while attending the first hearing for the Ukraine incident, he punched a YouTuber who stood among reporters and asked him questions.
Also, in 2022, Ken Rhee was involved in a hit-and-run with a motorcycle that injured the motorcyclist. As a result, he had to attend 40 hours of driving classes and 80 hours of social services. His license was also revoked.
With his license revoked, Ken Rhee is legally not allowed to drive. However, on September 7, he was accused of driving without a license from his home in Yeongtong-gu, Suwon, to the Suwon Nambu Police Station at around 6:10 p.m. the previous day.
It was reported that while visiting the Suwon Nambu Police Station for a separate incident, Ken Rhee went through a routine check that revealed his lack of a driver’s license.
