K-Comedians Call Out A Mystery Man Who Goes Around Lying That He’s A KBS Comedian
Recently, a video exposing a fraud comedian is circulating the Internet, and some of Korea’s most well-known comedians spoke out about it.
Comedian Jang Ki Young posted a video on his Instagram on September 11 showing a man, referred to as A, doing interviews on two different YouTube variety programs. In both interviews, the man introduced himself as a KBS comedian.
The video included scenes from the 81st episode of the YouTube variety show Workman in December 2020, A claimed he was comedian Park Sung Kwang’s colleague, and scenes from the 3rd episode of the YouTube channel 10 Billion Studio in July, where he introduced himself as “the youngest comedian at KBS.”
Jang Ki Young shared the video, expressing his confusion at how he could be the youngest comedian while being a colleague of Park Sung Kwang when it’s not possible to be both. He wrote captions on the video saying, “I worked at KBS since 2009, and there was nobody like him in KBS.”
In the post, a parade of Korean comedians chimed in and shared their encounters with A.

Even Park Sung Kwang commented on the post sarcastically, responding to the claim that A was his colleague and the youngest comedian.

Some non-comedians also shared their eyewitness and experience accounts, saying that A asked them for their phone number before and followed them on Instagram, stating he was Park Sung Kwang’s colleague. Other people said, “Isn’t he the guy who sets up all the schedules then goes AWOL on the day of the shoot?” and “I’ve seen this person in Instagram ads.”
In some circles, there is also a claim that A is the same person as the “Yatap-dong animal abuser” mentioned on SBS‘s Curious Stories Y in 2019. On the broadcast, the animal abuser was accused of taking advantage of free puppies when trying to date women, abusing them if they didn’t listen, falsely claiming to be a broadcasting manager or a comedian manager, and then admitting that it was all false. However, this information has not been confirmed.
Netizens stated that if A and the Curious Stories Y animal abuser are the same person, searching for A’s name on portal sites revealed false facts, such as his being signed under Antenna.
