The Last Time TREASURE’s Asahi Cried? Even His Members Weren’t Sure Of The Answer
TREASURE is the latest boy group to debut under YG Entertainment. They are composed of members Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Asahi, Doyoung, Haruto, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan.
All of them have distinct personalities that complement each other. Jaehyuk and Jihoon, for instance, are extroverted while Asahi is the top introvert of the group. The latter even has the nickname “Robot” because of his often-expressionless face.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, the members were asked several truth or dare challenges. Asahi was given the question, “When was the last time you cried?”
This elicited a surprised reaction from the group, with one even joking, “Isn’t it when you were born?” The other members were also curious as to what Asahi’s answer would be.
Even I want to know this.
— Yoshi
Even in past interviews, Asahi mentioned that his tears do not flow easily.
Yeah, I’m not going to cry.
— Asahi
Asahi: I almost cried when we did our sound check
Jaehyuk: I want him to cry but he is not the type to cry
Asahi: Yeah, I’m not going to cry. But I think I will get teary up to hereSahi did cried though 😭👧 pic.twitter.com/I6XGTXvQnp

This time, however, he had a relatively recent full-on crying experience. He answered that he couldn’t help but sob during the group’s concert in Japan roughly seven months ago.
I think it was at Kyocera Dome. We had a concert in January. On January 28.
— Asahi
This was no ordinary concert for TREASURE. It was held at the biggest dome in Osaka with a capacity of 55,000 people. TREASURE held a two-day concert here and sold out both days for a total of 110,000 fans in attendance.
This achievement was extra special for Asahi as it was held in his hometown, Osaka.

He was likely overwhelmed at being able to perform at this sold-out venue. It was a dream come true for him, a reward for all the hard work he put in so far.

TREASURE held 24 concerts in seven Japanese cities last year. Over 300,000 fans attended these concerts, a record number for a K-pop artist to achieve on their first Japan tour.
