“The Worst Album Cover In History” — Netizens Share Mixed Opinions Over BTS Jungkook’s Upcoming Single Cover Art

“I mean yeah it’s a little lazy but I’ve seen worse 😭”

It was recently revealed that BTS‘s Jungkook will be releasing a new single, titled “3D”, with American artist Jack Harlow on Friday, September 29 at 1PM KST/12AM EST.

After the massive success of his solo debut track, “Seven”, earlier this year, the anticipation is high for more music released by BTS’s maknae. He’s been releasing concept images for the comeback too, building up the hype even more.

However, there’s been one piece of media released for the single that has many unimpressed with its design, with some going so far as to call it one of the worst of its type in K-Pop. Criticism isn’t being thrown towards Jungkook himself, of course, but the artists behind the design.

That piece of media is the album cover art for “3D”. Made with a light blue color scheme and including Jungkook and Jack Harlow’s names along with part of the title of the single, the design is admittedly quite simple.

On an online forum post discussing whether it’s the word album cover ever, netizens compared it to albums released back in the 2000s, which they claim are “better” than this one.

In the comments section, most people agree that the design is lazy and uninspired. Some, though, think that calling it the worst design ever is going too far, and are a little more forgiving over it. They even shared cover art designs they think are worse.

However, others are far more critical over the design and think that BIGHIT MUSIC should put more effort into creating high-quality album art that match the quality of their music.

Do you think netizens are overreacting, or was the album cover poorly chosen?
