Not every celebrity gets to use their real name to promote. While some choose stage names as part of a concept, others do it as their real name is too common. Here are three stars who surprisingly use stage names!
1. Han So Hee
Actress Han So Hee has become a household name. Her real name is actually So Hee, but her last name was originally Lee. As there was already a celebrity called Lee So Hee, she shopped around for other last names to use as part of her stage name. She considered last names such as Kim, and Park, but decided she liked Han the best! It was a last name that she liked even before deciding to be a celebrity!
2. Seo Kang Joon
The visual actor’s real name is actually Lee Seung Hwan! There was already a famous singer called Lee Seung Hwan, causing Seo Kang Joon to need to find a new name. There was a saying that if one uses the name of a manager of a sunbae in the company, they would become famous. Seo Kang Joon decided upon the name of Ha Jung Woo‘s manager.
3. Cha Eunwoo
ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo’s real name is actually Lee Dong Min. He even used this name for credits while shooting for a makeup commercial pre-debut. One day, a higher-up in the company came up to him and gave him the stage name Cha Eunwoo. He has used that name ever since.
