(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi Already Has Another Role In Mind After Cameo In Netflix’s K-Drama “Celebrity”
(G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi recently made her K-Drama debut with two appearances as character Zhang Wei on the Netflix K-Drama, Celebrity, adding acting to her list of many talents.
In her cover story for #legend, Yuqi opened up about the experience filming for the Netflix show and what might be next for her acting career.

Yuqi began by stating she’s always had the confidence to do “anything that [she] put her mind to.”
After discovering the second-generation K-Pop group Super Junior when she was younger, she became “an instant fan” and began consuming more Korean entertainment, from music to dramas to variety shows.
She admitted that what drew her to K-Pop most was the performance aspect, and one day, she decided to “change [her] career path” and pursue her dream of becoming a singer.
After debuting as a member of (G)I-DLE and making her solo debut in 2021, she added “actress” to her skillset in 2023 and revealed she found the experience fun and “not too difficult.”
Compared to singing, it was quite a new experience. However, acting was not too difficult, and it was very fun.

Yuqi admitted that the experience wasn’t “too difficult,” but she wishes she had “understood the character at a greater level,” showing her natural acting mindset.
After briefly delving into acting, Yuqi already has an ideal future role in mind. The talented (G)I-DLE member hopes to act in an action-genre project in the future.
