It was reported that Lee Je Hoon experienced severe abdominal pain on the night of October 1, leading him to visit the hospital.
Ischemic colitis is a condition where inflammation and necrosis of the colon tissue occur due to a decrease in blood flow to the colon. This may result in the narrowing of the blood vessels supplying the colon. This may be caused due to reduced blood flow caused by low blood pressure. It often occurs in the elderly and usually heals naturally, but in some cases, it can progress to necrosis of the entire colon. In some cases, it can occur in young patients due to constipation.
Due to the surgery, Lee Je Hoon will not be able to attend the Busan International Film Festival and the Buil Film Awards. He was originally scheduled to co-host the opening ceremony of the 28th Busan International Film Festival with actress Park Eun Bin. However, instead of considering a new male host in place of Lee Je Hoon, the Busan International Film Festival has decided that Park Eun Bin will host the event alone.
This will be the first time one person will host the opening ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival, which will take place from October 4 to 13.
