16-Year-Old Student Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting 3 Teenage Girls Over 2 Days

In an alarming series of events, a 16-year-old high school student is under scrutiny for alleged assaults on three separate teenage girls over two days. The Suwon Seobu Police Station moved swiftly to apply for an arrest warrant this Sunday against the suspect. In line with standard procedure for minors, the authorities have not revealed his identity to the public. The charges put forward include robbery and assault.

The wave of assaults began on Thursday when the teenager is believed to have choked and assaulted a teenage girl after making his way into a women’s restroom at a Hwaseong shopping center located south of Seoul. The audacity and brazenness of this act left local residents and shoppers deeply unsettled.

Less than 24 hours later, the violence continued. On Friday, in the neighboring city of Suwon, the suspect allegedly assaulted a second teenage girl within the confines of an elevator in a residential apartment complex. The same day, in a separate incident, a third teenage girl became his victim in a different apartment building. As per police reports, the violence escalated with this third assault. The girl was rendered unconscious, after which the assailant dragged her to an emergency staircase. In a further act of violation, he made away with her cell phone.

The police have yet to determine a clear motivation behind this string of attacks. However, a disturbing detail has come to light. According to police officials, the suspect has a previous history linked to sex crimes. The urgency of the situation escalated with this revelation, and the police were on high alert.
