For many years, it has been a well-known fact that Lil Uzi Vert is a huge fan of the K-Pop group GFRIEND. They have confessed their love several times, even expressing disappointment when they disbanded.

Because of this, many were excited for the artist to perform at the One Universe Festival 2023 in Seoul, with GFRIEND and now VIVIZ members there supporting them.

Not only was Lil Uzi Vert a successful fan, snapping several photos with their favorite group…

…they also hung out with Somi and had BTS’s RM and V attend their afterparty.

While fans usually love seeing their faves meet with Western celebrities, especially those who are into K-Pop, many did not want them around the idols, citing charges Lil Uzi Vert faced in the past.

In 2021, the artist’s ex-girlfriend Brittany Byrd filed a police report after an altercation with them.

According to the report, while she was dining with rapper SAINt JHN at a restaurant in Hollywood, Lil Uzi Vert attempted to fight the other musician. When Brittany Bryd approached them, Lil Uzi Vert reportedly punched her and pointed a gun at her stomach.

It was alleged that Byrd was pregnant at the time of the assault.

In February 2022, Lil Uzi Vert was sentenced to three years probation, a year of mental health and substance abuse treatment, and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling after pleading no contest to one count of felony assault with a firearm and one count of misdemeanor injury.
