The 4th Generation K-Pop Idol Who Was Scouted While Attending TWICE’s Concert
A fourth-generation girl group member recently told the story of how casually attending TWICE‘s concert in 2018 changed her life… literally.
NiziU was formed by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment Japan in 2020 after 26 contestants competed on the idol survival program Nizi Project for a chance to debut in the nine-member global Japanese girl group.
JYP Entertainment founder J.Y. Park dubbed the group “K-Pop 3.0,” and the talented idols are finally preparing for their official Korean debut on October 30.
To celebrate their upcoming Korean debut, member Miihi appeared on the popular musical variety program Leemujin Service and showcased her vocal talents while opening up about her debut, NiziU’s impressive accomplishments, and more.
For Korean and international viewers who may not have been familiar with the group, Miihi introduced herself and told the story about how she became an idol thanks to her senior labelmates TWICE.
Host and talented soloist Lee Mujin noted that Miihi’s connection to TWICE is “quite deep,” as they’re the reason she became a singer.
In 2018, Miihi attended TWICE’s concert in Japan and was even spotted on camera relatably swapping photo cards like many dedicated K-Pop fans.
Miihi elaborated on Lee Mujin’s statement about her connection with the legendary 3rd-gen group and revealed that she was scouted by JYP Entertainment while attending TWICE’s concert.

After being scouted, she was invited to audition and chose to perform TWICE’s “Be As ONE” for a full circle moment.
Miihi passed her audition and became labelmates with the artist she had just paid to watch in concert, proving she’s the ultimate successful ONCE!
