BTS’s J-Hope And Jin Become “Special Class Warriors” — Here’s What That Really Means

They completed these extremely difficult steps! 🤯

While serving in the military, both BTS‘s J-Hope and Jin have succeeded in becoming “Special Class (Elite) Warriors,” a highly revered title given to soldiers for their extraordinary physical fitness and mental resilience.

The evaluation process of Special Class warriors is done based on their combat competency and may vary slightly from unit to unit. Check out some of the tasks below that soldiers must successfully complete in order to get the title!

1. Shooting

Soliders must achieve a 90% hit rate, at least 18 hits out of 20 rounds.

2. Basic Strength

Soldiers must achieve more than 72 push-ups in 2 minutes, as well as 86 sit-ups in 2 minutes. They also must finish a 3 km run (about 1.86 mi) in 12 minutes and 30 seconds.

3. Combat Strength

Soldiers must complete a 10 km rapid march (6.2 mi) in 25 kg full gear (55 lbs) within 2 hours and 10 minutes. Next, there is a 5 km run (3.1 mi) with 15 kg of non-combat gear (33 lbs) which must be completed in 40 minutes.

4. Additional Training

Soliders must pass 10 leg tucks, do an intensive fitness circuit within 2 minutes and 15 seconds, and run a 240 m sprint within 1 minute and 2 seconds.

5. Mental Strength

Soldiers must score at least 90 points out of 100.
