Lyricist Kim Eana Wrote A Specific Line In “I AM” With IVE’s Jang Wonyoung In Mind
Popular lyricist Kim Eana recently appeared on JYJ Jaejoong’s show, revealing her love for K-Pop girl group IVE! She couldn’t help but gush about her favorite idol, Jang Wonyoung. Not only did she write the lyrics to IVE’s hit song, “I AM,” but she also went to the same gym as Wonyoung!
In regards to writing the lyrics, she revealed that there was a certain line in the song she wrote for Wonyoung.
I fell in love with Jang Wonyoung, I watched many fancams. She’s a face you’ll see once in a millennium. I was mesmerized by her and I got the offer.
But she revealed that the original line for the song got rejected by both her and IVE’s agency.
The original line I wrote was, ‘I am someone’s Dreams come true.’
(I’m your dream) If Jang Wonyoung says so, who will disagree.
IVE has a bit of a narcissist concept. But even their agency said it’s too much. They wanted to change the subject. So I edited it to ‘You are someone’s dreams come true.’
