“I Am So Over This Show” — Viewers Are Ready To Kill Off The “The Killing Vote”

What happened?

The Killing Vote, a morally grey K-Drama about vigilante justice, started off strong, but some viewers are ready to kill it off.

In The Killing Vote, a detective with a questionable work ethic teams up with a cybercrime officer to catch Gaetal, an anonymous “watchdog” who executes criminals. Through Gaetal’s phone app, Korean citizens can vote to save or kill criminals who thwarted the justice system.

The series kicked off in August and has continued into November. The final episode, Episode 12, will air on November 16, and some viewers are more than ready to say goodbye.

The Killing Vote was supposed to air one episode a week for 12 weeks, meaning that the series should have ended on October 26. There was, however, a three-week delay between Episode 7 and 8 due to the Asian Games, and a two-week delay between Episode 10 and 11.

Scheduling delays and a complex, fast-paced plot do not mix. The gap between episodes has also drawn attention to “confusing” moments that some viewers believe are the result of rushed editing.
