National Soccer Player Blackmailed By His Family Member Over Sex-Tapes

National soccer player Hwang Ui Jo has been under fire recently after investigations on his sex scandal opened. In May 2023, an online source that named themselves as his ex-girlfriend posted sex tapes of Hwang and another ex-girlfriend, claiming that Hwang cheated on them. Later on, Hwang sued the source for blackmail, claiming that they were not related to him romantically. He alleged that they had hacked his lost phone and blackmailed him for money using the videos. He denied that the videos were filmed illegally.

On November 22, 2023, it was reported that the cyber police had arrested the person who spread the videos and threatened Hwang. In a shocking twist, the person was revealed to be a relative of Hwang’s. She was his sister-in-law.

The police are currently investigating on her motivations for her blackmail and spreading the video. It was reported that Hwang had expressed his wishes for her to not be punished.
