Recently, Dex’s agency, Kick the Huddle Studio, released a statement informing his audience that the creator has been targeted with slander, defamation, and even sexual harassment on the internet, which they will be taking action against.

We are taking strong action against cases of slander, false information, sexual harassment, personal attacks, defamation, and malicious comments related to our creator Kim Jin Young (Dex), impersonation of our agency and our associates, that are being spread on social media by exploiting anonymity.

The agency said, “Many people are suffering due to the insulting remarks and false information about Kim Jin Young (Dex) and those associated with him.” The statement also mentioned that Kick The Huddle Studio would regularly monitor suspected malicious commenters, and in case the slander or sexual harassment persists, they would be taking legal action.

The statement has come amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the popular Japanese manga and anime Made In Abyss. Many celebrities, including Dex, recently came under fire for promoting the anime since many found the content disturbing and problematic.

In the face of the criticism, Dex responded to the issue during a press conference of MBC’s Adventure By Accident season 3. When asked about the controversy surrounding Made In Abyss, Dex responded, “I think the issue was caused by the differences in perspectives since all our lives come with different experiences.

I think I am a person who has lived a well-grounded life. Something that it not problematic to me, someone else might see it as problematic. So, I will make sure to be cautious from now on.
