Rising Actress “Scolds” Fans To Stop Spending Money On Her
In celebration of her December 22 birthday, actress Lee Se Hee‘s fans put up an advertisement congratulating her.
The actress, best known for her role in Young Lady And Gentleman and Bad Prosecutor (in which she co-starred alongside EXO‘s D.O.), visited the ad and thanked the fans for doing something meaningful for her…
…then “scolded” the fans for spending too much money on her!
The actress shared in a since-deleted Instagram Story that, while she appreciates the gesture from the bottom of her heart, she’d rather the fans spend the money on themselves and take better care of their health.
She also asked the fans to take the ad down, now that she has seen it, and get a refund to save the money for multivitamins!
Seriously… Thank you all so much. But please… PLEASE don’t spend money on me. Save your money, I’m serious!!! I know how much the cost of living has spiked. So you should not be spending money on things like this. I really don’t think this is a good idea. Of course, I love it so much. And I appreciate it a lot. But this is not it.
With the money to put up a birthday ad for me, you should buy multivitamins instead. And take care of yourselves… Please? For my birthday, I’d like my fans to listen to my wish. Remember that your well-being is my happiness. If you’d like to celebrate my birthday with me, you can send me screenshots of the supplements you took and tell me that you’ve looked after yourself for the day. That would make me so proud and happy!
Now that I’ve seen this ad, you can take it down and get a refund. AND TAKE THOSE VITAMINS! You silly beans… Thank you so, so much. My goofy little fans, I love you all.

It’s not new for fans to shower their favorite celebrities with birthday gifts. For some, actual gifts are banned by management companies, and so alternative “fan project” options—like subway advertisement boards—have also become popular.
