G-Dragon Admits To Struggles In Handwritten Letter Amid Scandal-Laden Drug Investigation Acquittal
Galaxy Corporation revealed a handwritten letter from G-Dragon during its press conference.
On December 21, Galaxy Corporation held a press conference at the JW Marriott hotel in Seoul. During the press conference, during which G-Dragon was not present, the entertainment agency revealed that the K-pop icon had signed an exclusive contract with them.
On this day, the agency also spoke about G-Dragon’s recent acquittal from controversial drug allegations levied by the Incheon Police before revealing a handwritten letter from the idol himself.
In his letter, the idol revealed that he would be setting up a foundation to help combat the spread of drugs in Korea as well as those who are vulnerable to drugs.
I went through a difficult time recently, but I was able to get through it thanks to the support and concerns of those around me. I want to thank all of them. Through this experience, I learned that there are over 20K drug users in Korea each year and felt I needed to do something. I will do my best to stop the spread of drug use. I want to be able to protect those vulnerable by creating a foundation for them. I want to create a society in which we side with those who are judged unfairly.
— G-Dragon
Meanwhile, the idol recently bid farewell to his home of 17 years when he left YG Entertainment. You can read more about G-Dragon’s exit in the link below.
