Rumors Of Discord Among NewJeans Members Addressed By Hyein
NewJeans member Hyein recently addressed the speculations about a possible discord between her and her fellow members Danielle and Hanni.
The speculations in question sprouted from an incident where the three members were interacting with fans through a live broadcast. At one point in the broadcast, Hanni and Daniell started talking to each other in English. After a while, Hyein slid out of the frame, saying, “I don’t understand. I’m leaving.”
While fans considered it as one of their friendly banters, many netizens saw it as a sign of Hyein being “left out” by the members. There were quite a few discussions surrounding this issue on Korean forums, and many deemed it inappropriate of Hanni and Danielle to speak in a language in Hyein’s presence that she wasn’t as fluent in.
A few days ago, Hyein addressed the issue during another live stream on the Phoning app, where she was joined by Danielle and Haerin. The NewJeans maknae said she usually doesn’t monitor social media a lot, but the issue had gotten so big that it even caught her eye.
She expressed her intentions to avoid all misunderstandings with Bunnys (the fanbase of the group) and assured fans that during that previous livestream, she didn’t leave because her relationship with her members was strained.
She explained that she wanted to leave to fetch her phone and jokingly made the remark. She also expressed how shocked she was to see such a fleeting thing be blown out of proportion.
Hyein also showed immense maturity in her next comment, saying she didn’t want her relationship with her members to be judged through a momentary and out-of-context clip.
