He explains why he came across the way he did.

Same-age idols and friends IU and BTS‘s Suga recently reunited for the latest episode of Suga’s talk show, Suchwita.

Following two successful collaborations, the longtime friends showed off their fun sibling-like dynamic as they caught up in front of the camera, discussing their experiences as second and third-generation K-Pop idols.

During the episode, the two discussed growing up in the entertainment industry and how they’ve changed as they’ve entered their 30s.

BTS’s Suga shared that his friends noticed a significant change in him when he reached his 30s, and he has noticed he’s become more easygoing.

While his friends agreed that he looked “really scary” when he was in his 20s, Suga felt he was misunderstood.

Suga explained that he “never actually treated people in a scary way” and instead always spoke formally and was considerate toward others.

Taking his friends’ feedback into consideration, Suga realized he may have come across as “cold,” even if it wasn’t intended.

IU admitted that her first impression of Suga and how she views him now has “changed a lot” as she’s gotten to know him better.

Suga concluded by sharing that he realized now that he didn’t “make a very good first impression” when he was younger.
