Where Is Jackson Wang? The GOT7 Member Is Racking Up Major Accolades And Awards Despite Low Media Coverage
The name Jackson Wang is familiar to many K-Pop fans across different generations. As a member of GOT7, one of K-Pop’s third generation’s most popular groups, Jackson gained attention for his musicality and personality.
Before and after the group’s departure from JYP Entertainment and their focus on individual activities, Jackson made a name for himself as a solo artist and all-around content creator. The idol has branched out into multiple ventures, including e-sports and his own Team Wang Design streetwear brand.
Following the release of Magic Man, Jackson seemed to constantly be in the headlines as he toured worldwide, impressing audiences at massive events like Coachella.
However, after his Magic Man concerts in Latin America, the idol seemed to disappear, popping up in Thailand for some brand-related content and at Paris Fashion Week as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton.

A possible reason for the lack of media coverage, at least from K-Media, is he has been promoting in China — keeping busy and racking up various awards and honors!
For one, Jackson has continued his Magic Man tour in China to sold-out audiences, besides the one occasion he had to postpone a show, refunding fans for expenses besides the concert tickets.

November saw the release of his latest line of Team Wang Design, a collaboration with FILA FUSION, for a set of new athletic wear. In addition to holding a fashion show release event, Jackson participated in the on-the-street “ninja” promotion.

Award-wise, Jackson may not have appeared at any Korean award shows in 2023, but he has received plenty of praise for his work this year.
Jackson took home the “Most Influential Overseas Artist of the Year” award at the Tencent Video All Star Night 2023 ceremony and won “Record Of The Year” along with two other distinctions from the Asian Pop Music Awards.

The idol also took a step in the production direction he aimed for when he was announced to be a producer for Chuang Asia Thailand, a spin-off of Produce Camp. Jackson will be the survival show’s lead mentor, set to air in February 2024.
The label that he co-founded, RYCE Entertainment, will debut the winning team.
Most recently, Jackson was announced to be part of Forbes “30 Under 30 China” list. “30 Under 30” recognizes the “brightest young entrepreneurs, leaders, and stars” in different regions worldwide.
Needless to say, Jackson Wang is always busy as f*ck, even when he’s “out of sight!”
