K-Pop Fan Gets Kicked Out Of The 2023 Seoul Music Awards… Attempts Unhinged Tactic To Stay

It took six security guards to get her.

The 33rd Seoul Music Awards occurred on January 2, KST, in Bangkok, Thailand. Several K-Pop stars and celebrities from the Thai entertainment industry came together at this event to kick off the new year with grandiosity.

However, despite its impressive lineup, the award show failed to impress K-Pop fans, quickly garnering the tag of the “messiest” awards show after a series of organizational mishaps.

From soundcheck ticket holders being denied the proper benefits to the stage catching on fire, almost everything that could go wrong went wrong at the event. Amidst these issues, a fan inside the venue caused another ruckus.

According to the account of an audience member at the Seoul Music Awards, a fan was asked to leave the venue, potentially due to being caught with a camera. In most of the K-Pop end-of-the-year events, photography or videography is strictly prohibited and can get an audience member banned. The rule mainly applies to people who bring additional equipment for those purposes, while capturing through mobile phones is usually allowed.

The fan in question refused to leave and resorted to lying down on the ground instead. Several security personnel had to gather to pick the fan up in that position as the award show went on as usual in the background.

The video of the incident has quickly spread across social media platforms, providing more reasons for K-Pop fans to label this award show as a mess.
