A representative from Kim Go Eun’s agency, BH Entertainment, has acknowledged these discussions, noting that Kim Go Eun is currently reviewing the offer to star in the drama. If she accepts, this will mark a notable addition to the show’s cast, bringing her distinct acting style to the forefront.
The Price of Confession is set to be a drama centered around a murder case and its impact on the lives of two women. The production initially involved director Lee Eung Bok — recognized for Descendants of the Sun — but he had to withdraw due to scheduling issues earlier in January 2023. Lee Jung Hyo, known for directing hits like Crash Landing on You and Doona!, has since taken over the project.
But the upcoming K-Drama has been in the spotlight for a long time due to its constantly changing cast. After Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee stepped down from their roles, Jeon Do Yeon began discussions to lead the series.
