“Single’s Inferno 3” Star Choi Hye Seon Received A Wild Offer After The Show’s First Episode
While Netflix‘s popular reality show, Single’s Inferno, is primarily a dating show, it also gives a huge platform to its contestants, often working as a launchpad for their careers as public personalities.
The past seasons of the show have done wonders in terms of giving exposure to its fan-favorite contestants like Song Ji A from season one or Dex from season two. In the third season, Choi Hye Seon was arguably one of the most well-favored participants by the public, thanks to her straightforward attitude and girl-next-door charm. In a perfect world, this popularity, paired with her beautiful visuals, should have brought Hye Seon a plentitude of opportunities. But according to her, the situation was comically different.
Recently, Hye Seon and her co-contestant on Single’s Inferno 3, Son Won Ik, reunited for a fun YouTube video on the latter’s channel, where they revisited some of their moments on the show, as well as shared fun behind stories that never made the cut.
When the two were rewatching the first episode, a scene showing Hye Seon writing the name of the person she wants to go to Paradise with popped up on the screen. While Won Ik was more interested in knowing who she had picked and why, Hye Seon suddenly broke into a giggle, pointing at her head, which was shot from an upper angle. She happily confessed that after that clip was aired, she was contacted by a scalp tattoo clinic.
Won Ik, too full of glee to be let in on the tea, insisted on rewatching the clip. Hye Seon, barely able to control her laughing fit, pointed out that she had two hair partitions on her head. “My hair flattened and became like that,” she explained, making Won Ik laugh along as well.
As Won Ik jokingly asked to check her hair, Hye Seon replied that it had gone back to normal after the show. She also said that it was a direct result of her losing too much hair because she made herself undergo hardcore weightloss processes for the show.
“What’s even more damaging to my pride is that,” Hye Seon continued, “they contacted me again after the second episode was released.” Won Ik continued to crack jokes, saying he would be paying even more attention to her scalp from now on!
While the incident itself was a funny little episode to look back on, both Hye Seon and Won Ik honestly talked about the serious lengths they went to just to ensure that they looked their best on the show. You can read more about it here.
