3rd Generation Idol Uses Viral Trend To Announce His Relationship Status
In this day and age, fans have more access to their favorite idols than ever, all thanks to social media. Many groups have a separate Twitter account from the official company-only one, allowing them to post content themselves.
Idols who have been in the industry longer are even welcome to open their own personal Instagram accounts.

The latest development in idol social media are TikTok accounts. While many use them strictly for music promotion, more and more have expanded to posting trendy content and even interacting with fans.

Recently, a third-generation idol used his personal to “announce” his relationship status to fans!
In 2016, Cube Entertainment debuted the then ten-member group PENTAGON. The talented group slowly earned success through their promotions, gaining much attention for their 2018 release “Shine.”
Unfortunately, as time went on, the group’s activities slowed down, culminating in fans sending a protest to Cube in June 2023, which marked more than 500 days without Korean activities.

Just five months later, five members of the group —Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok — announced their departures from Cube. The group stated they did not disband. However, it will likely be a while before group activities are possible.
In the meantime, the members have gone on their own paths as individuals, with member Yuto returning to Japan and releasing his first single album.
The idol also created his own TikTok account to share content and just happened to participate in a recent trend!
Users on the app have used the line “everywhere I go, I keep her picture in my wallet” from Travie McCoy‘s “Cupid’s Chokehold” to do a visual trick. The user will hold their wallets or phones with a photo of their significant other up to the screen, then move it, revealing their partner behind it.

Yuto posted a video with the audio, beginning it by holding up his wallet and opening it away from the camera.
The idol then turned his wallet around, revealing it to be empty. He then throws it before sitting with a blank stare.
The funny video of the idol announcing just how single he has gained attention, with comments joking along with him.
