DPR IAN Exposes Former Member REM (Scott Kim) In Live Broadcast
DPR IAN (also known as Christian Yu and formerly C-CLOWN‘s Rome) revealed more information regarding Scott Kim (also known as REM).
In 2014, creative collective DPR (Dream Perfect Regime) was formed. It became a multi-genre music label and video production company, co-founded by IAN, Scott, and Hong Dabin (also known as LIVE)—all of whom attach the label’s acronym “DPR” to their names. Each played an important role. For instance, besides being a music artist, DPR IAN is Visual Director, while Scott was Business Manager and Creative Director.
Then, on January 12, 2023, the same day it was announced that DPR LIVE + DPR IAN were performing at 2023 Coachella, Scott announced via his Twitter account that he was resigning from his position as DPR’s business manager. At the time, fans hoped it was just a break.
Important sidenote* – starting this year, I’ve come to the decision that its ultimately best I release myself of all management responsibilities going forward in regards to DPR. This may come to a surprise for many as I’ve always prided myself on being that position for this team

artistic endeavors going forward – whatever that may end up being! Hope yall understand and continue to support nonetheless…!🥹❤️🙇🏻♂️

Yet, Dabin confirmed that Scott was no longer in DPR when he shared an appreciation post at the end of the Regime Tour Seoul Finale. He thanked many members of DPR, notably not Scott.
DPR fans were shocked and confused not to see REM mentioned. So, Scott tweeted that he was okay, reassuring fans after Dabin’s post.
Been going through a super reflective time in my life so forgive me for my absence – just wanted to drop by to sincerely thank you for all the bday wishes and to let you all know i’m doing well :) hope you are too❤️

According to fans, Scott, whose Instagram handle matched the others’ with @dprrem, archived all his posts and changed his account handle to @iknowrem (His X account is @_iknowrem) on June 13, 2013. Nonetheless, he has only one post, uploaded on June 20, 2023, with limited comments.
Likewise, he last publicly tweeted in August 2023. But he had promised to update regularly.
ill be regularly updating soon. Thank you all for keepin me in your hearts ❤️

Yesterday, DPR fans heard of Scott for the first time in months when “REM” was namedropped in Dabin’s new song “WMP freestyle” as part of his new EP Giggles. Throughout the song, Dabin explains that an individual took advantage of his trust, gaslit him, and scammed him out of money. Dabin made it clear he was referring to Scott by including the line, “Taking a REM sleep,” as not only did Scott go by “REM” in DPR, but it’s still the name on his social media accounts.
If Dabin’s feelings toward Scott were not clear enough already, he explicitly shouted out “F*ck REM!” at the Giggles Listening Party.

Historically, fans were loyal to all members of DPR, including Scott. Yet, after Dabin’s diss track dropped, most are 100% on his side.
WMP freestyle
“with words like us and team you used to try restrict and control us”
“why do my brothers bleed for what you’ve done?”
“you dumbass chooses to REM sleep as if everything’s fine”
and a lot of “shhh” being mentioned

from what people have gathered, scott scammed dpr out of money and fucked over the team bad. so if dabin says fuck rem its FUCK REM. we dont have to know all the details to know this person did bad to the team. all of dabins enemies are my enemies

Additionally, fans are now realizing all the hints prior to the release of “WMP freestyle.” The puzzle is coming together, and now DPR IAN has another piece to add.
ohh that’s why he said “shout out to dpr! dpr my family!” when he was performed at that club, he mentioned everyone in kiss the ring 🥲 (except that one guy ofc lmao) pic.twitter.com/5HeoLvUBYZ

Previously, fans had also expressed disappointment that Scott had produced some of their favorite DPR IAN songs. So, DPR IAN set the record straight.
rem produced all my favorite dpr ian tracks now why'd he have to get greedy. pic.twitter.com/yRGEI1WMAl

He held a live broadcast and cleared it up. DPR IAN said that he had seen “a lot of people think REM produced my songs for some reason.” He explained that only he and DPR CREAM produced them.
I don’t know where you get that from. He did not make any of my songs… at all. And, I told them to correct that on the credits. I have no idea why it’s written like that on the credits, but that’s absolutely not the case.
— DPR IAN
DPR IAN talked on his recent live about the rumour that REM has written all his songs
“He didn’t produce any of my songs. It was actually just me and Cream” pic.twitter.com/Y0gKpznt6J
