Netizens Criticize LE SSERAFIM Sakura’s Recent Photoshoot As She Looks Unrecognizable — Again
Netizens have hit back after another publication seemingly edited LE SSERAFIM‘s Sakura to the point that they couldn’t recognize her.
Sakura has always been praised for her visuals since debuting, and even when she was shining in Japanese groups AKB48 and HKT48.
So, it was disappointing when a publication seemingly made the idol look unrecognizable to fans.
On February 12, netizens couldn’t hide their excitement when it was revealed that Sakura was appearing in the Chinese magazine Herdes. Yet, fans couldn’t hide their shock when photo teasers started to be shared. In particular, netizens believe the publication used unnecessary Photoshop on Sakura, making her features look very different from normal.
Although some only saw minor changes in Sakura’s appearance in one photo, the second image from Herdes had netizens shocked. At first glance, many explained that they couldn’t even recognize Sakura because of the amount of editing. Considering the difference in her image in both photos, it looks like something on the editing side rather than Sakura’s visuals.
When the photos were posted, netizens couldn’t believe the edits made to Sakura. Although there were some similarities in the second photo, others couldn’t believe the first was Sakura, even saying which other idols she resembled more.

Sadly, it’s not the first time a magazine has come under fire for excessive photoshopping. Last month, a recent photoshoot by a Japanese publication came under fire after netizens labeled Sakura “unrecognizable” in some of the photos, blaming excessive photoshopping.
Many fans are confused as to why so much editing has happened as Sakura still looks like herself in content posted on social media and promotions with LE SSERAFIM in Korea, including the group’s recent comeback.
