IU is gearing up for her first world tour, the IU H.E.R World Tour, which kicks off on March 2, 2024, in Seoul. The singer will be performing 21 shows in Asia, 2 in Europe, and 6 in North America as of her current schedule. But like every other K-Pop concert, IU’s shows are also facing issues with scalpers trying to exploit fans with extremely inflated ticket prices.

But IU has responded strongly to such illegal activities. On February 29, KST, the singer’s agency. EDAM Entertainment notified the public about the cancellation of “fraudulent tickets” for IU’s H.E.R World Tour Concert in Seoul. The notice relayed that EDAM has taken strict steps against fraudulent ticket transactions against a total of 44 reservations for the Seoul shows.

The agency also permanently expelled five users from IU’s official fan club after detecting that they had made multiple reservations using the same name and contact information, as well as abnormal transaction patterns. Additionally, 29 regular ticket holders, who were also caught with unusual transactions, had their tickets for the show canceled. These 29 users are also restricted from joining IU’s official fan club and buying tickets in the future.

Five other people who traded or attempted to trade tickets illegally have also been permanently suspended from the fan club, while five general ticket holders also had their purchases canceled. In its statement, EDAM Entertainment explained that when they detect cases that could potentially be illegal transactions, they offer the buyer a chance to explain in case there are any other reasons. They also clarified that in some of the cases of insufficient explanation, receiving on-site tickets and admission will be facilitated after identity verification.

Meanwhile, IU will be performing four shows in Seoul for this tour. All of the performances will take place at the KSPO Dome on March 2, 3, 9, and 10.
