Though the idol himself probably wouldn’t be able to spend this birthday with ARMYs like usual, Jin seems to have taken up the job unexpectedly.

Both Jin and Suga are currently under mandatory military service. While the former is an active duty soldier, the latter is in alternative services. While Suga has gone completely incognito since his enlistment, Jin has stopped by on social media and the fan communication app, Weverse, from time to time to stay in touch with fans.

As the first BTS member to enlist in the military in December 2022, Jin’s discharge is coming up soon, much to the fans’ excitement. The idol himself is very eager for the day as well, given that on March 4, KST, he posted “D-100” on Weverse, updating ARMYs about the number of days left till he returns.

On Suga’s birthday, Jin returned to his own post, wishing him a happy birthday.

This simple wish somehow still packed the punch of Jin’s otherwise chaotic ways of wishing his groupmates a happy birthday. Read more about it here. Meanwhile, fans couldn’t contain their excitement at this surprise post from Jin, that too as the first member to wish Suga this year.

Jin, who is currently serving as an assistant instructor in the Fifth Infantry Division in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, is expected to be discharged from his service on June 12, 2024. On the other hand, Suga, whose service details are not publicly known, is expected to finish his service on June 21, 2025.
