IU Surprises Special Couple With Backstage Invite At Recent “H.E.R.” Concert
IU recently concluded her third concert on her H.E.R. world tour at KSPO Dome in Seoul. She has one more H.E.R. concert in Korea before touring additional cities in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
During her show on March 9, 2024, IU surprised one lucky couple when her staff members invited them backstage after the concert.
The couple, who became known as the “firefly couple” after attending IU’s 11th fan meeting in firefly costumes in 2019, a reference to IU’s K-Drama Hotel Del Luna, shared their experience with IU on X (formerly known as Twitter) and discussed how they came to be recognized by the star soloist, a story that began a year before IU’s 11th fan meeting.

The couple met at IU’s 10th fan meeting in 2018. They hit it off and began attending IU’s concerts together, finally admitting they had developed feelings for each other while attending IU’s encore Dlwlrma concert in Jeju on January 5, 2019.
The couple got married in 2023 and was congratulated by IU herself before their wedding when they attended a publicity event for the film Broker in June 2022.

After IU’s third H.E.R. concert in Seoul, the couple was able to spend time with IU backstage, taking pictures with the star to conclude their epic concert experience.
