“I-LAND 2” Production Team Responds To Viral Accusations Of Child Abuse
A recent expose from an alleged staff member has shocked fans and viewers of the popular survival show I-LAND. The show — popular for choosing the debut members for ENHYPEN — is in the midst of filming its second season, and recently a disturbing expose went viral online.
An alleged staff member accused the production director of enforcing grueling filming schedules, providing inadequate sleep, and maintaining a subpar filming environment through a post on March 9.

According to the staff member’s account, the contestants, many of whom are minors, were subjected to harsh filming schedules, starting early in the morning and only allowing them about two hours of sleep. Instances of the PD scolding contestants for showing signs of tiredness were reported, questioning the PD’s commitment to a healthy and respectful working environment.
The set itself was described as being unfit for filming, with inadequate heating leading to a freezing main stage and excessive dust likened to the filming of a Dune 3 sequel. Thus, concerns were raised about the impact of these conditions on the health and well-being of the participants.
In light of these serious accusations, the production team of I-LAND 2 issued a response to address the concerns raised through a statement released earlier today.

We are committed to creating a program that is beloved by the public, by striving to ensure a safe and correct filming environment. In doing so, we adhere to the laws and guidelines related to minors within the Act on the Promotion of the Pop Culture and Arts Industry, prioritizing the health and safety of our cast members.
The exclusive set of I-LAND 2 is equipped with various systems to create a safe environment and is monitored in real-time. The heating and cooling are automatically controlled to maintain the appropriate temperature through a central control system, and the air quality inside the set is regularly measured through an automatic ventilation system.
Furthermore, we provide necessary rest times to all cast members during filming and ensure that all staff entering the site pay close attention to their words and actions towards the participants, in accordance with the code of conduct.
