Lead Actress Faces Harsh Criticism For Her “Bad” And “Stale” Acting In K-Drama “The Impossible Heir”
One of the newest K-Dramas gaining attention right now is The Impossible Heir.
While fans were excited about the drama, the female lead actress is gaining a lot of criticism about her acting, and it’s Hong Su Zu.
Su Zu has not had much experience, only starring in minor roles in shows like Sweet Home 2 and Lovestruck in the City. Her role as Na Hye Won is the actress’s first time in a lead role, where she is the daughter of a debt collector.
Sadly, as the episodes continue to be released, Hong Su Zu has been heavily criticized for her acting. In particular, online compilations of her acting in K-Drama have been posted. One video initially gained a lot of attention on TikTok.

The comments were split. While some criticized the decision to cast her as the lead role because of her poor acting, others called out the misogyny, claiming that male actors never got the same criticisms.
Graduated from the oh yoon seo school of acting with honors https://t.co/mJV8jFwXvY pic.twitter.com/U6FzoWLcRQ

I know her acting is not up to the expectations her character needs but the way y'all dragging her i didn't see the same energy with your favourite oppas who can't act for their life.some overrated actors act with same face expressions and can't even deliver the dialogue properly https://t.co/roZQSjR8C7

She should have done more supporting roles before taking the lead role.
I want to see this energy though i mean compilation of cringey mediocre abominable acting of some MALE ACTORS who bagged lead roles 😅 https://t.co/ntfGQ6a6nC

Sadly, it seems like the consensus about her “poor” acting is making its way directly to Hong Su Su, in particular, in the comments on her Instagram. The actress’s most recent post was a promoted post for DIOR.
Sadly, the comments were full of hateful and malicious comments about her acting.
While she is still a rookie actress, many believe that it shouldn’t excuse poor acting in such a big role for a K-Drama that had a lot of press and attention even before airing.
