Popular Actor Confirms Relationship With Female Idol After Being Spotted On Date, Girlfriend Is Flooded With Hate
Recently, Thai stars “Bright” Vachirawit Chivaaree and “Nene” Pornnappan Pornpenpipat confirmed their relationship after being spotted holding hands on an apparent date.
In posts on X and Instagram, each star confirmed the relationship directly with fans as Bright’s company, Cloud9 Entertainment, released a statement officially confirming the news.
Hello, my beloved fans and friends,
This is Bright.
I know there is recent news that might have caught you off guard. I just wanted to clarify a few things, especially for my fans who are always so caring and curious about how I am doing—yes, we are really dating. I'd like to… https://t.co/HtTx3jwC1K— bright (@bbrightvc) April 22, 2024
Nene is a multi-talented singer and actress, who many may be familiar with following her participation in Produce Camp 2020. The star finished in fifth place and debuted as a member of BonBon Girls 303, remaining until their disbandment and continuing her solo career.
Bright is a popular actor and entertainer known for appearing in 2gether: The Series and its following sequels and related media. He has also starred in many other works and founded Cloud9 Entertainment.
While many were excited to hear the news of the relationship, some have unfortunately targeted Nene with hate related to a past “controversy”
In 2020, media at the time reported that Bright’s then-girlfriend had made anti-Chinese remarks. Nene, at the time promoting in China with BonBon Girls 303, was discovered to have liked a post made by Bright, and the following netizen discussion led her to apologize and unfollow the male star on all platforms.
On her Instagram post announcing the dating news, many commenters left rude emojis and other messages for the star, with some outright saying they would not support the relationship.
Some of these comments can be linked to the previous controversy, while others are reportedly from fans who ship BrightWin, the onscreen couple made up of Bright and actor “Win” Metawin Opasiamkajorn.
Bright was also known for appearing in Thailand’s version of Boys Over Flowers, which you can read about below.
