SEVENTEEN’s Encore For “MAESTRO” Showcases Their Unmatched Live Vocals

“Dokyeom and Seungkwan can be a vocal trainer at this point tbh.”

On May 10, SEVENTEEN took home their third win so far on Music Bank with their latest title track, “MAESTRO”, from their recently released 17 IS RIGHT HERE compilation album.

While “MAESTRO” has received somewhat mixed opinions from fans, what pretty much everyone seems to agree on is that the members never disappoint with their vocals. With powerhouses like DK and Seungkwan in the group along with the rest of the vocal unit’s talents, plus their nine years of experience in the industry, it should really come as no surprise that SEVENTEEN always holds their own when it comes to live performances!

But in an era where lipsyncing has become practically the norm and other groups are being criticized for giving poor encore performances, it’s particularly refreshing to hear a group like SEVENTEEN so easily give live, unsupported vocals even when they’re being silly and casual during an encore performance for Music Bank.

The mics were definitely on for this rendition of “MAESTRO”, and the members didn’t shy away from the more vocally challenging parts of the song either — in fact, they made them seem easy!

It’s clear that even nearly a decade into their career as a K-Pop group, the members of SEVENTEEN are still consistently working on themselves and keeping up with practicing in their respective strengths in the team. Netizens have commented before how the group never lets an audience down whenever they perform, and this is just another example of that!
