Two doctors who had prescribed medication to Yoo Ah In took the stand as witnesses. One of them, Dr. Oh, recalled that during Yoo Ah In’s first visit in June 2021, the actor had “continuously complained of suicidal thoughts and depression.” Dr. Oh’s records indicated that Yoo had returned for consultations on July 1 and 6, reporting similar symptoms, which worsened by April 2022.

He had lost a tremendous amount of weight. The suicidal thoughts had increased. He mentioned feeling ‘restless,’ ‘anxious,’ ‘unable to concentrate,’ and ‘distracted,’ which I also noted in his chart. Due to these symptoms, I remember prescribing medication to help control his anxiety.

Dr. Oh also noted the differences between Yoo Ah In and other celebrities he treated, stating that Yoo’s consultations were unusually long, often lasting up to two hours. Unlike other celebrities who typically requested specific medications for sleep or panic disorder, Yoo’s sessions involved in-depth discussions about his chronic symptoms.

Other public figures and celebrities also come for consultations. The difference with Yoo Ah In is how his chronic symptoms are. A notable point is that his consultation sessions lasted very long. While other celebrities often requested only medication for ‘controlling sleep’ or ‘dealing with panic disorder,’ Yoo Ah In had consultations lasting about an hour and a half to two hours even from the first visit.

When reporters asked if he continued to deny the charges, the actor said there were no new updates and apologized for not being able to speak further before heading inside.
