Third Gen Idol Is Kissed By Fans Without Permission On Tour

As K-pop has expanded in popularity, the ways fans can meet their favorite idol have also grown. From in-person concerts to video call fan signings, idols have never been more accessible to a larger population of fans.
Unfortunately, some take advantage of this closeness in various ways, including asking inappropriate questions during fan sign events.
Recently, a male third-generation idol revealed that this happened to him in person.
Earlier this year, OnlyOneOf embarked on their 2024 world tour. So far, the group has completed the Far East Asian, Latin American, and North American segments of the tour.
OnlyOneOf usually tours the Americas with the production company Studio PAV, which, in addition to having allegedly problematic staff, is known for having enhanced perks for concerts. Besides the hi-touch and group photo that many groups have done, fans are also able to take one-on-one polaroids with their favorite members.
There are, of course, guidelines to this event, shared in advance to show the poses that are available to do.
In mid-May, member Rie talked about the South America part of the tour, mentioning that fans were “passionate about getting touchy-feely.”
He said that after taking a photo, many asked if they could give him a hug, but at least three kissed him on the check without permission before running off.
Rie: lyOns in South America are passionate about getting touchy-feely, haha. After taking a picture, they asked if they could give me a hug. A hug isn’t a big deal, so I said yes.
Rie: But at least three Lions have snuck in a kiss on the cheek before running away. LOL.
Rie: LOL
After clarifying, Rie shared that he laughed it off, but would have said no if asked.
Rie: Oh, no. I wasn’t the one who kissed them. They kissed me and then ran away. Haha.
Rie: It’d be trouble if I kissed them.
Rie: LOL. Next time, I’ll say, “I’m sorry!” But, honestly, had they asked for a kiss in the first place, I would’ve said no… Wouldn’t I? Haha.
Rie: Anyway, I laughed it off. I’m cool like that, haha.
While Rie’s handled the non-consensual actions in his own way, many fans were upset that this even happened in the first place.
Crazy how pav is so strict in unnecessary ways yet so lenient that 3 people were able to kiss Rie on the cheek like how does THAT work….those people need to be hunted down and banned/blacklisted for artists safety
