As seen in the clip, the fan started by asking Wonyoung whether they can teach her a phrase in Chinese, to which the idol agreed.

However, many felt the phrase was inappropriate to teach to the idol.

Starship Entertainment, if you want to work, then work. If not, then get out.

– Fan

The sentence is a slang phrase used in work settings with a negative connotation, but Wonyoung repeated after the fan without knowing its meaning. Additionally, when she asked about its meaning, the fan lied.

It means Wonyoung is the prettiest in the world. The most beautiful girl in the world.

– Fan

The fan even remarked in the subtitles that they felt nervous and thought Wonyoung saw through their lie, but the idol ended up saying thank you to them.

At the end of the clip, the fan wrote, “When I lied to Queen Wonyoung and still got a ‘thank you’ in Chinese. 😎” Netizens immediately expressed their anger upon watching the video.
