NewJeans Members Rally Behind ADOR’s Min Hee Jin In First Day Of HYBE Trial
NewJeans members have voiced their support for Min Hee Jin.
On May 17, the hearing for Min Hee Jin’s injunction against HYBE took place at Seoul’s Central District Court. Previously, Min Hee Jin filed an injunction to stop HYBE from terminating her.
During the hearing, Min Hee Jin’s representatives alleged that HYBE had attempted to sabotage, threaten, and mistreat NewJeans.
HYBE promised to make Min Hee Jin’s group but broke their promise and debuted LE SSERAFIM. Min Hee Jin then made ADOR and brought in the members to debut NewJeans as soon as possible. Even then, HYBE wouldn’t let ADOR market NewJeans and forbade them from using titles such as All-Teenage Group… Bang Si Hyuk also didn’t acknowledge NewJeans when they greeted him. This is supported by text messages between members.

Min Hee Jin’s lawyer then expounded on the fact that NewJeans members have expressed that they wanted to stay with Min Hee Jin.
Min Hee Jin, as per ADOR’s exclusive contract with NewJeans, has an obligation to protect them from outside intrusions. Even if she had a shareholder agreement, she has an obligation to let HYBE know. Min Hee Jin has never violated these obligations. In 2024, NewJeans will be releasing their album and will go on a world tour. NewJeans members have stated they wouldn’t be able to do a lot of things without Min Hee Jin and have stated they wanted to be with her. This is something the fans have acknowledged.

The ADOR CEO’s lawyers then revealed NewJeans members were frightened by HYBE’s plans to put them on a 18-month hiatus.
After April 16, HYBE mentioned a long hiatus for NewJeans. Min Hee Jin and the members are frightened by this. Min Hee Jin’s termination will bring unrecoverable losses to themselves, NewJeans, ADOR and Min Hee Jin.
