Han So Hee’s Alleged Former Manager Reveals The Grueling Reality Of His Job
Recently, a man who claimed to be Han So Hee’s former manager shared the harrowing lifestyle of the profession on a radio show.
On May 17, comedians Nam Ho Yeon and Kim Seung Jin appeared as special guests on SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show. During their conversation, the topic of street-casting actors came up, which eventually led to a listener calling in and sharing his history of working in the entertainment industry.
The listener claimed that he used to do the job of casting actors on the street and also worked as an actor manager for four to five years. He then revealed that the last actor he was in charge of was none other than Han So Hee! He was her manager when she was filming 100 Days My Prince.
Hearing this, the host explained how difficult the job of actor-managers is, as they have to spend a long time just waiting every day. The listener then shockingly revealed that while he was on the job, getting enough sleep was a huge challenge.
If I could sleep 7 hours a week, that would feel like a lot. I would have to [follow the actors] to all of the shoots, making additional videos of them and whatnot.
— The Listener
The man explained that he left the job eventually because he had a hard time adjusting to the stressful work pattern, and many of his friends from the industry also wanted to leave.
While being a star’s manager might look like a dream job to many fans, it seems that the lure fades away pretty quickly, especially if you love to sleep!
