LE SSERAFIM’s Performance On “The Jennifer Hudson Show” Continues To Receive Backlash
A video from an April 2024 recording of The Jennifer Hudson Show was recently released online. The star had invited LE SSERAFIM to perform in the studio during time in the US.
The girls sang their hit song, “Smarter.”
Although the audience members seemed satisfied, comments from netizens called the girls out, suspecting them of using live AR. Live AR is a pre-recorded track that is created to mimic live singing. This means that all breathing sounds are included in the track. Many singers use this when they need to appear like they are singing live.
- Live AR really seems like a fraud to me.
- It’s not at the level to be hated on. If you don’t like them, just filter them out. It’ll come back to you as karma if you just happily leave hate comments like this.
- I can totally tell it’s lip synced just from Kazuha LOL. What would they do without live AR?
- LE SSERAFIM, fighting. Feels like they’ll improve lots by the next comeback. I wonder if it’s so hard for people to leave concerned comments rather than criticism.
- Isn’t this the song that was controversial for plagiarizing Doja Cat and “Water?”
- No, but this is too obviously AR. They should at least show some sincerity.
Other netizens defend the group, claiming that the comments are being too harsh. On the other hand, some have also pointed out that they should have gone with another song for an American performance, given that “Smarter” faced plagiarism suspicions.
