Idols Can Reply To Specific Fans Via Bubble, As The App Adds New Features

Your name won’t be public, though!

K-Pop app bubble has now added two new features.

Bubble is known to create the illusion of direct-messaging one’s bias. Fans subscribe to specific idols’ bubble accounts to send and receive messages. While idols can see the messages sent from their fans and choose to reply, the response is sent to all fans, who, of course, wouldn’t know what the other fans are saying.

Yet, bubble has now added a feature that allows an idol to reply directly to a specific message sent from a fan. This will give context to the idol’s messages if they address a fan’s message. It is optional, though. The idol must select the reply option.

Initially, fans were alarmed, worried they would be exposed, much like idols publicly commenting on fans’ Weverse posts.

Yet, there is no concern. Your username will not be displayed. Only your message will be visible if the idol directly replies to it.

That’s not the only new feature bubble added to the app. Idols can now start polls, giving their fans options to vote. This is similar to the poll feature in Instagram’s community channel, except you cannot change your vote once it has been submitted.
