NewJeans And aespa Have Memorable Interaction At “Inkigayo” Encore Stage
NewJeans and aespa both attended Inkigayo on May 26. The former was there to promote their new song “How Sweet” while the latter was on their last week of promotions for “Supernova.”
Aespa went head-to-head in a battle against IVE and Zico for first place, beating them by a few hundred points.
Fans noticed their cute interaction with NewJeans as the latter was leaving the stage. The fourth generation K-Pop groups bowed to each other with large smiles on their faces. Danielle even sent a heart gesture their way as well.
NewJeans was grinning from ear to ear upon locking eyes with the senior group.
Netizens commented that this interaction was a “cute” one, loving how kind they were towards one another.

This comes in light of HYBE’s and ADOR‘s publicized feud. Bang Si Hyuk famously asked Min Hee Jin, the CEO of ADOR, to “crush aespa” with NewJeans. Despite the tension between the companies, the girl groups themselves had no bad blood towards each other.
